On Thursday, October 21, Heartland Forward hosted a special event featuring Mayor G.T. Bynum of Tulsa, Okla. and Rose M. Washington-Jones, Chief Executive Officer of Tulsa Economic Development Corporation to discuss their shared vision for the future of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa will be the first stop in a series of Heartland Forward produced “Secret Sauce” discussions in heartland communities including Birmingham, Alabama and Northwest Arkansas.

Moderated by the Chief Program Officer of Heartland Forward, Angie Cooper, the discussion centers on the “secret sauce,” or the unique combination of values, assets and priorities, that help heartland communities such as Tulsa thrive. Heartland Forward is a nonprofit organization aiming to improve economic performance in the center of the U.S. by identifying common issues and providing solutions.
