Talent Pipeline
Heartland Forward is focused on building talent from the ground up in workforce, entrepreneurship and human capital.
Our efforts focus on the education, training and funding of programs that promote job growth and stimulate local economies throughout the heartland. Working with public, private and academic partners, Heartland Forward researches and promotes ideas and programs to identify job opportunities, economic incentives and overall development at the local, state and regional levels throughout the heartland.
Heartland Forward, in collaboration with rootEd Alliance and with support from the Arkansas Department of Education, is driving efforts to strengthen Arkansas’s talent pipeline and grow its economy by providing rural high school students with dedicated college and career advisors.
The initiative ensures students graduate prepared for successful careers and economic stability which furthers Heartland Forward’s mission to support Human Capital and Workforce Development in the heartland.
The Connecting the Heartland Jobs Board offers a key starting point for those interested in a career in broadband by connecting job seekers, employers and training providers to upskill residents and advance careers across the heartland.
This platform aims to increase access to and awareness of broadband jobs and build a resilient broadband workforce. Through the board, job seekers can discover local employers and access information on benefits, resources and training opportunities.
The Community Growth Program + Toolkit (CGPT) inspires people to see themselves as entrepreneurs and equips them to create new ventures and solve problems.
It includes resources to help those starting out on their journey and encourages peer-to-peer sharing of best practices. Our goal is to inspire more people to see themselves as Builders, creating value for communities and increasing access to capital and resources.
