Heartland Forward Releases First-of-its-Kind Poll on AI Sentiment Across the Heartland Using AI
Heartland Forward is committed to growing the economic success and regional competitiveness of the heartland, and in our modern economy this means integrating and harnessing the power of artificial intelligence. As a convener and trusted resource for our heartland communities, we have worked to understand how the heartland is thinking about AI in 2024 and how we can help our region prepare for and thrive in this next chapter of technological advancement.
As a result, Heartland Forward commissioned a first-of-its-kind poll on sentiments about AI across the heartland, as well as hosting salon-style dinners in Nashville, Tennessee and Fargo, North Dakota this summer to foster community dialogues on the potential benefits of and challenges posed by AI.
AI Poll – Key Findings
Over 500 respondents from nine heartland states were polled: Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee. The poll was conducted by Aaru, utilizing AI-powered simulations to achieve hyper accurate results.
While this poll revealed much about the heartland’s sentiment toward artificial intelligence, it uncovered a few primary findings.
While the poll revealed that there is apprehension about how AI will integrate into society, it also demonstrated that when we add greater transparency about where and how AI will be used, respondents feel hopeful about AI’s potential for positive impact.
