Our Leadership

Katie Altland is the senior administrative assistant at Heartland Forward, where she supports senior leadership and helps drive organizational effectiveness across the organization’s core impact areas. She manages executive operations, strategic scheduling, cross-functional coordination and day-to-day workflow to ensure leaders are equipped to advance Heartland Forward’s mission.

Katie previously served as executive assistant and office manager at Runway Group, the Bentonville-based holding company of Tom Walton and Steuart Walton, supporting the CEO, chief communications officer and chief strategy officer. During her tenure, she oversaw executive operations across a portfolio of companies.

Earlier in her career, Katie held roles in human resources and executive support at Employer Direct Healthcare and provided high-level personal and operational support in both healthcare and private family office environments.

Katie holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. She lives in Northwest Arkansas and is currently a trainee in the Washington County, AR Master Gardener program.
